We have also supported the Open Door through our Community Benevolent Fund.

Drumathon for the Dondi Project: A Drumathon will be held across Canada and in Angola in support of the Dondi Project Friday October 1st 7pm through Saturday October 2nd at 7pm. The project is the rebuilding of a school that for 100 years was a centre of mission and partnership between the Congregational Church in Angola and the United Church. This work began before Church Union in Canada with the Congregational Church in Canada and continued for generations until the Angolan civil war that saw the school destroyed. The Dondi Project is intended to make a new beginning for the School.

The Drumathon will happen at various sites across Canada and we plan to be one of those sites. We are looking for folk to participate by drumming and by sponsoring drummers. We hope drummers will participate for an hour, or two or more and raise some money for a worthy cause. At Westminster we will participate for a portion of the 24 hours.
