*****PRAYER SHAWLS***** A few months ago an announcement was put in the Church Bulletin asking those ladies who were interested in knitting or crocheting to come to a meeting to hear about Prayer Shawls. Wool and needles would be supplied at the meeting. **** There was a fair number of ladies who responded and came out to the first meeting on May 25th where the message of Prayer Shawls was explained to them. The Shawls are made and then blessed at a church service, before they are given out to any person who is in need of some prayers and support. They do not have to be within our congregation but the need has to be worthwhile. There is no charge for the Shawl and that is very important . We do accept donations to help us keep our wool supply going. **** We meet every second Monday morning in the Church Library and share a cup of coffee while we knit and visit. It is a very sociable gathering and anyone is welcome so come and meet with us. We even had one lady come and learn how to knit!! So if you are interested, contact either Betty Brown or Yvonne Ulett and join us. ****
